Our very own, Suzanne Lockwood, has been asked to present at the APRN 2017 Pharmacology Conference, March 3, 2017 from 10:20 to 11:20AM in Helena.
Audience: APRNs from the state of Montana with the goal of not only providing the information, but also to recruit providers to begin using this pharmacological approach in treating addiction in Montana.
Title: Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT): Success with Naltrexone on the Hi-Line.
This 1 hour presentation will outline the success of Naltrexone/Vivitrol with over 40 participants in the Havre area both Hill County Drug Court participants and others over the past 2 years. MAT is used to assist individuals in their success in staying off alcohol, methamphetamine, and opiates when addicted to one or more of these chemicals. The presentation will outline national research and the protocols to be used when implementing this additional tool in the fight against addiction.
